Derek Wu is responsible for developing and leading the people and organizational strategy of Tam Jai International, a leading and listed restaurant group in Hong Kong. With a vision of expanding its footprint worldwide, Derek plays an instrumental role in the group’s expansion plan, which cover current markets in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore, and Japan, as well as upcoming new markets, including the announced entries in Australia and the Philippines.

With over 30 years of regional and global experience, Derek has been driving human resources transformation and providing strategic HR leadership across various industries, including FMCG, manufacturing, and logistics & supply chain. Under Derek’s stewardship, the companies he has served have garnered multiple accolades and recognition. These include the ATD Best Award and ATD Excellence in Practice Awards in two different categories, as well as the AON Hewitt Best Employer Award, among others. Derek was also awarded as the Best HR Leader of the Year 2022 by HRflag, recognized as the APAC CHRO of the Year 2018 by HRO Today magazine, and the recipient of HR Head of the Year 2017 by Human Resources magazine.
