Anjum comes with more than 26 years of experience in Operations, Six Sigma & Human Resources in both Telecom & the Banking & Financial sector. She has worked with organizations like General Electric (GE), Essar Cellphone now Vodafone, & is now with American Express. She has varied experience in Talent Acquisition & Management, Leadership Development, Employee Relations, Change & Organization Effectiveness.

Anjum is the Director for Human Resources (now called CEG- Colleague Experience Group) for American Express Malaysia, & has responsibility for the overall Talent agenda in the market. During her recent years in Malaysia, Anjum has helped drive the growth & diversification for the market, besides launching a variety of initiatives Flexible Benefits, Digitization solutions from end user perspective, Virtualization of Employee offerings, Enhanced Parental Benefits offerings to name a few). She is very passionate about Inclusion & Diversity and enhancing the sense of Belonging for all employees ( Colleagues) in the market and in initiatives where she can contribute and give back to the community.

She has done her Post graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management From Symbiosis Institute, India and a post graduate in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. She was one of the recipients of the HR Leader of the Year in 2019 (HR Excellence Awards). Under her Leadership, American Express Malaysia won the Best Employers Malaysia 2020 & were also inducted into the Hall of fame for winning Best Employers for the 10th consecutive time.
