Anne Gnanapragasam is a distinguished human capital leader with an established reputation for driving enterprise-wide people transformation, leadership excellence, and sustainable organisational performance. She is currently the Head of People for HSBC Global Service Centre Malaysia and the Global People Business Partner, SS, for Global Operations. With more than two decades of senior HR leadership experience across complex, matrixed, and multicultural environments in organisations such as HSBC, Shell, and Ernst & Young, Anne is widely regarded as a trusted strategic partner to executive leadership teams and boards. She has experience working in global roles across both generalist and Centres of Excellence (CoE) roles, with international work experience.

Her career has been defined by her ability to position HR as a strategic business function—one that directly shapes culture, capability, and long-term competitiveness. Anne has led large-scale initiatives across talent strategy, leadership development, workforce transformation, organisational culture, diversity, equity and inclusion, and employee experience, consistently delivering outcomes that balance commercial priorities with human-centred leadership.

Anne is particularly known for her work in building future-ready leadership capability. She has sponsored and governed multiple leadership frameworks and people manager excellence programmes that have strengthened succession pipelines, elevated managerial effectiveness, and embedded performance cultures rooted in trust, accountability, and inclusion.
