Shalina brings to the table more than 20 years of progressive and illustrious HR experience, successfully combining in-house corporate and consulting practices within South East Asia and ANZ in improving corporate performance through the development of HR solutions to address organization, job, people and talent issues.
Prior to joining Asahi, Shalina was HR Director for Zuellig Pharma and has worked in various local and multinational organizations with in-county and regional working experience across diverse range of industries such as Shell, Beca New Zealand, Celcom Axiata, Chemical Company of Malaysia, Kenanga Investment Bank and Deloitte. The last 10 years was spent in Senior Management capacity with high level exposure to business challenges in building corporate infrastructure to proactively engage employees and strategically transform business outcomes.
Shalina is currently the Council Member of one of the Malaysia’s HR professional institutes as the voice of HR practitioners in Malaysia and to help with upskilling and reskilling of HR practitioners.
Shalina has been recognized with multiple accolades.
Shalina is not only an accomplished HR exponent but also an accomplished mother to 2 boys and credits her success to her supporting family, most importantly her husband. She enjoys spending time with her boys and as well as inspiring young HR professionals.
