Richmond Kok is the Corporate Director, Learning & Talent Development for the Capella Hotel Group, which operates two unique brands; Capella and Patina. The Capella Hotels and Resorts collection consists of properties in Singapore, Bangkok, Hanoi, Ubud, Shanghai, and Sanya. The brand focuses on crafting authentic, cultural experiences for its guests, combining a legacy of thoughtful design with the highest level of personalised service.

Commonly known by his initials, RK specialises in curriculum development and is responsible for creating teachable moments that facilitates professional development within the organisation. Last year, Capella Hotels and Resorts was named 2nd Best Hotel Brand in the World in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2020.

RK has a Masters in Training and Development, and a double major in Hotel Administration and Meetings & Events Management with more than 15 years of progressive experience in the luxury segment of hospitality. His career highlight was travelling around the globe incognito and sharing insights and best practices with fellow hoteliers. An advocate of lifelong learning, RK is a certified behavioural consultant working with MBTI and DiSC, and is also a DACE and ACTA certified practitioner.
