Shalina brings to the table a total of 20 years of progressive and illustrious HR experience, successfully combining in-house corporate and consulting practices within South Asia and ANZ in improving corporate performance through the development of solutions to address organization, job, people and talent issues across diverse range of industries. The last 10 years was spent in Senior Management capacity with high level exposure to business challenges in building corporate infrastructure to proactively engage employees and strategically transform business outcomes.
Shalina has led and delivered many turnkey projects for organizations in Malaysia and other regions and is highly sought after for driving strategic talent management, business transformation, change management, balancing strategic & operational HR and organizational development.
Shalina typically enjoys going into an organization that is undergoing rapid growth / transformation and build a structure and strategy that works uniquely for that organization. Her personality of being driven to achieve performance in the shortest time has brought her to a senior level fast, hence she was featured in the New Zealand Herald as a talent in Movers & Shakers and also in Singapore’s HRM Asia Magazine in the Career Ladder section.
Apart from having a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the United States, Shalina has developed her own contemporary HR frameworks and has obtained 12 Certifications in various assessment & diagnostic tools, harnessing the ability to apply them flexibly depending on organizational needs. She is also a trained assessor for Assessment Centre and in Coaching for Performance from New Zealand and is an Instructional Systems Design professional from Motorola University.
Shalina was instrumental for Zuellig Pharma Malaysia being awarded for the first time ‘HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2018 & 2019 Award’ consecutively.
Apart from this, Shalina was elected to be the judge for MIHRM 2019 and 2020 HR Awards.
Shalina has also gained exposure in the last 10 years, being a member and also presenting in Board Committees, Board of Directors and Nomination Remuneration Committees by using her skills, experience and judgement to steer decisions.
Shalina is currently the Group Chief Human Resource Officer of Asahi Holdings Southeast Asia Sdn Bhd. She is responsible for the overall people agenda and management of Human Resources for Southeast region, covering 8 countries and driving synergy between business and human resource initiatives across SEA by facilitating solutions for employees and the leadership team. She is a Member of the HR Board Committee for Asahi Holdings Southeast Asia and a Member of the Board of Management for Asahi Beverages Vietnam. Serving also as a key professional of the Global HR Team in Asahi HQ for Global Projects.
