Eric boasts over 27 years of experience in human resources management, organisational development, and strategic HR. He is a graduate of the University of the Philippines, Diliman, where he earned honours in his Diploma and Master’s degrees in Industrial Relations, specialising in Human Resource Development. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from CEU Manila.

A highly skilled facilitator for Interaction Management (IM) and an administrator for Targeted Selection (TS), and with his extensive expertise in people management, Eric has conducted training sessions across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

His career spans esteemed organisations, including Motolite Batteries, HAVI Logistics (a global supply chain partner of McDonald’s), Canon, and Nissan. Currently, he serves as Senior General Manager / VP Human Resources, Philippines & ASEAN (special projects) at Nissan Group of Japan – ASEAN.

Eric has been instrumental in driving success at Nissan for over eight years, with a proven track record in talent management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and overall employee experience. His innovative approach to developing key talent has been recognised as a best practice by Nissan Asia & Oceania.

A respected member of the HR community in the Philippines, he actively participates in the leading professional body for HR practitioners in the country. He previously served on the board of trustees and currently mentors aspiring HR leaders.
