Jayaram Philkana is an international HR leader with experience across diverse sectors including FMCG, Food, Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Agriculture. He is currently serving as the Group CHRO of Indorama Corporation (IRC) with responsibility for Human Resources, Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility functions. IRC is a Singapore-headquartered company and a global producer of essential materials, which include fertilisers, polymers, fibres, yarns and medical gloves, employing more than 26,000 people across 39 manufacturing sites in 12 countries spanning Asia, Europe, Africa, LATAM and the USA, with annual revenues exceeding 5 billion.

Jayaram brings a wealth of experience from his leadership roles in start-ups, M&As, JVs and turnaround businesses, including serving as the Global CHRO for publicly listed companies such as UPL and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. He has twice served as a Board member of Ichnos Sciences, a New York-headquartered biotech firm, and Sorini, a listed company in Jakarta. He has lived and worked in India, Singapore, Indonesia and the USA.

At a personal level, Jayaram is an avid reader, an active life-skills coach and a mentor for high school pupils and young adults, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.

Jayaram is an Indian national and Singapore PR since 2005. He lives in Singapore with his wife and son, who is studying at NTU as a Nanyang Scholar. His daughter lives in the USA.
