Brought up professionally at ATAL Engineering Group, Davis Liu acquired recognised qualifications as a Chartered Building Services Engineer, Chartered Quality Professional and Registered Safety Officer, and achieved degrees of BEng, MBA and LLB in the earlier years from 1989 to 2006. Rejoining the Group in 2020, he has been serving in the capacity of Director, Training and Development.

In the interim, he served AsiaWorld Expo in the capacity of Head of QSE as well as the Construction Industry Council as Chief Operating Officer (Construction Workers Registration Authority), Senior Manager, Training and Development (Construction Industry Training Board) and Principal, Kowloon Bay Campus (Hong Kong Institute of Construction).
