Balan comes with more than 28 years of HR and Operations experience at several medium- and large-scale MNCs. Balan currently serves as the Senior Director of HR for APAC at Dexcom Inc, a world leader in Continuous Glucose Monitoring devices. He joined Dexcom in 2020 to establish a greenfield start-up after returning from a 1.5-year stint working across the Causeway.
Throughout his career, Balan has managed HR teams in various countries, namely Singapore, Vietnam, China, Japan, the USA, the Philippines, Australia, and India.
Balan’s life philosophy is Carpe Diem, having been inspired by the film Dead Poets Society in the 1990s. He is based in Penang and travels extensively on business trips to help strengthen Dexcom’s footprint in the APAC region.
