Dr. Loo has more than 20 years of HR industry experience in manufacturing, infrastructure construction, and healthcare. Currently, he is the Group Head of Talent Management at Biomed Global where he oversees the human resources agenda for Malaysia and Singapore. His current job profiles are responsible for the people & culture strategy, and for implementing group strategic human resources initiatives. Throughout his career, he has gained vast experience in the HR subject matter of talent acquisition & management, employee competency gap analysis, HR financial and costing, organizational development & culture, employee engagement, human resource practices & process improvement, and people development. Under his leadership, he had achieved Top 100 Asia’s Best Employer Brands 2019. On top of that he was awarded with Best Onboarding Experience by HRO. He was featured as the Cover Story in several magazines including Human Resource Magazine, Malaysia in 2019 and 2021, sharing his HR achievements story, HR practices, and future HR trends. He also held many HR speaking engagements, author for HR topics in magazine, and lecturing engagements at a private institution of higher learning for MBA and Degree program. Recently, Dr. Loo was awarded the 40 Most Influential HR Leaders Across South East Asia 2022 and 501 Most Fabulous Global HR Leaders.

As a profound HR academic researcher, his research interests include organisational design, human resource management and practices, organisational behaviour, ethics studies, and workplace mobbing. He has published in several academic journals both locally and internationally. Dr. Loo earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Human Resource Management from the University of Malaya, Malaysia with strategic human resource management, organisational culture, and firm performance being his area of expertise.
