Widely recognised within the HR fraternity, Sharm has received numerous internal and external accolades throughout her career. She is also known for breaking barriers—having been the only woman to represent certain operational initiatives, including disaster recovery projects, and for earning both forklift and truck driving licences as part of leadership and capability programmes.

During the pandemic, Sharm spearheaded a successful mental wellness programme to support employees facing heightened anxiety. She also extended support to the aviation community by creating interim employment opportunities for grounded pilots and cabin crew, enabling them to support their families during a critical period.

Beyond work, Sharm is deeply passionate about giving back to society, particularly in animal rescue and people welfare. Her long-term aspiration is to establish a self-funded, sustainable animal shelter that also provides service dogs to support those in need.
