Sophia Ang is the Executive Vice President, Head of Talent Attraction and Workplace Futurisation at Maybank. Graduated in Biotechnology, she joined the banking industry as a management trainee in Maybank and has since taken on multiple roles within the Bank.

In her current role, she leads the design, strategy and implementation of Maybank Group’s employer brand and planning initiatives for on-ground and digital activations. Sophia also heads the design and recruitment of Maybank’s Group marque management trainee programme – the Global Maybank Apprentice (GMAP), a 2-year rotational programme as well as the Chief Designer of the award-winning international student competition – The Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge (MGAC).

Sophia looks into the future of work, workplace, and workforce – as a response to the challenges and opportunities brought about by the 4th Industrial Revolution and the current unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic. She is currently leading the design and implementation of Maybank’s inaugural mobile workforce and also redesigning employee experience and wellbeing as the Bank embraces the next normal.
